NASA Collective Agreement Posted

The draft version of the 2012 - 2015 NASA Collective Agreement has been posted on the Human Resource Services (HRS) website. Final editing and formatting will take place over the next few weeks; the final version of the agreement will be shared after the proofing phase is complete. Orders for printed copies of the agreement will be accepted once the final version is available.

Campus Flu Clinics

Influenza clinics are free of charge and are open to all students and staff at the University of Alberta. Clinics will run in SUB, November 6th to 9th, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily.

Bulletin #1: Support Staff Benefit Program Changes

As a result of the recent round of negotiations, agreement was reached to add a new Critical Illness Insurance Benefit and two additional optional plans: Family Accident Insurance and Dependent Life Insurance. Please view Bulletin #1: Support Staff Benefit Program Changes for more information.

Benefit Program Changes

All staff will receive an information package next week via campus mail that outlines changes to benefit programs. The changes include revisions to current programs i.e., Voluntary Accident Insurance (VAI) Plan (formerly Accidental Death and Dismemberment), Optional Dependent Life Insurance for Dependents and a new Critical Illness Insurance program for Support Staff.

Payroll Updates

Payroll Operations has several updates to share including information about minimum wage increases, Retro pay, the new Semi-Monthly Timesheet, Canada Savings Bonds, and Graduate Student Scholarship Payments.

General Information Sessions: NASA Collective Agreement Changes

Human Resource Services is offering general information sessions regarding changes to the support staff collective agreement. The last scheduled session will be held in Room L1-430 at the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy on September 20, 2012, from 1:30 – 3:00 PM. If you have any questions about the collective agreement changes, please contact your HR Consultant.
