The University of Alberta values learning and development for our employees. Through the
contributions of the HRDF Committee and Organizational Learning and Effectiveness, an
exciting learning event by support staff for support staff is being planned for mid-2013.
A “HRDF Working Group for Learning Event 2013” has been formed to plan, oversee and
implement the event. We are interested in getting input from support staff and those who
supervise or manage support staff, to help determine what kinds of learning activities would be
welcome or needed.
Within the next few weeks you and your staff may be asked to complete a brief 10 question
online survey. This survey will help the Working Group determine what type of learning
activities, and topics are favored, and gain a better understanding of what the learning event
will look like. Therefore, your support and input is very important. Please consider taking the
time to complete this survey and we hope you’ll enable your staff to participate as well.
