The Oteenow Employment and Training Society is bringing back their Summer Student Employment Program. The purpose of the program is to provide hands-on training to further develop the student’s skills and experience while providing the employer with a wage subsidy and a suitable candidate for employment.
Employment counsellors will work directly with U of A hiring units to determine if the academic programs of Oteenow's First Nations and Inuit clients align with the summer jobs that U of A units have available. Employers who participate in this program receive a wage subsidy, to a maximum of $3200 per student. If you are interested in participating, or would like further information, please contact David Plamondon at 780-444-0911 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
