The move to six digit department IDs within PeopleSoft HCM that was announced in the March Hiring & Managing Newsletter and anticipated to take effect on April 1 has been delayed temporarily due to a number of unforeseen consequences and cross-institutional impacts.
Teams from HRS, IST and other areas are actively evaluating the potential impacts, requirements, and solutions and will propose an alternative delivery date as soon as possible. The University remains committed to making this change because it is necessary for the upcoming 9.2 PeopleSoft HCM upgrade.
