Effective July 1, 2016, if a staff member has a WCB related illness/injury of less than or equal to three working days, there will no longer be a need for a Supervisor/Manager to complete an On Line Notification (OLN).

With the ratification of the AASUA collective agreement, Human Resource Services is processing the negotiated Across-the- Board (ATB) increase and the commensurate merit increments for academic staff to be paid July 28, 2016. As this is a work in progress, please do not use 2015 or 2016 salary amounts currently in Peoplesoft HCM as they are subject to change as we work through the process. We will also be applying the July 1, 2016 ATB for active appointments in HCM.

Immigration Services would like to remind you to complete a Foreign Visitor Category Assessment when inviting a foreign visitor to campus and that foreign nationals from countries who have not needed formal authorization may now require an electronic travel authorization.

NASA’s Annual Membership Breakfast will take place on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in Quad. NASA has asked that the university support this event by enabling members to participate. We encourage managers to be as flexible as possible in allowing staff to attend NASA’s annual breakfast while ensuring that the various functions of each area are available.

Effective immediately, Faculty and Staff Relations will be taking over all FSO position validations. These roles were previously evaluated by Job and Organizational Design. Please note that the general process will not be changing. Completed Position Descriptions should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org to initiate the validation process. Faculty and Staff Relations will work with clients to confirm that a position meets FSO category criteria and Faculties will continue to determine the level of FSO according to their FSO Standards of Performance.
