Updates to Find a Person

Information Services and Technology (IST) is updating the university’s Find a Person application to serve you better. The latest version of the staff directory will be available June 28, 2017. The new application is available now for preview at

Given the sources of information populating Find a Person, information displayed to users may not appear exactly as expected. TEMS (Telephone Expense Management System) departmental contacts will be responsible for working with staff members to update or correct many of the fields displayed in the new contact record. As part of the update to the Find a Person application, the quality of data in the user's department field will display proper PeopleSoft department names. For the majority of records this will be correct and appropriate, but TEMS Departmental Contacts have been directed to contact their respective HR Contacts for assistance with queries related to staff department names. Certain situations such as secondments may require explanations that the departmental contacts are unable to provide.

If the department that a user is associated with — or the name of that department — is updated in PeopleSoft, the Find A Person application will auto-populate this updated information from PeopleSoft. This is generally an overnight process.

This release of the Find a Person application is the first iteration. Feedback will be collected on an ongoing basis and considered for future enhancements to the application. For more information on this update, please visit
