Fall/Winter Hours Begin September 1

On the first day of September the University of Alberta switches from spring/summer hours to fall/winter hours. Employees working regularly scheduled spring/summer hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm will switch to working fall/winter hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

GSA Appointments Effective September 1, 2018

With the Graduate Student Assistantship Collective Agreement still under negotiations, departments are advised to continue processing assistantship appointments (pay action forms and eForms) using the 2017-18 published stipend rates. If you haven't already prepared appointment letters commencing on or after September 1, 2018, please add "subject to 2018 negotiations" after the salary amount.

Entering General Illness in PeopleSoft HCM

A reminder that general illness absences are to be entered by either the employee or the departmental time keeper each pay period using PeopleSoft HCM. Please refer to the Time Keeper tool kit for further details. To review general illness hours entered, please use the Quick Reference Guide for Time and Labour Audit Procedures. These reports should be run by the time keeper/HR department contact each pay period, as it is the responsibility of the department to ensure all hours are entered and processed correctly.
